Flocculation as the first step is the state of the art for a nearly
complete separation of low volatile lipophilic organic substances
(separation of oil, fat) from waste water (o/w-emulsions).
Depending on the nature of flocculated substances and depending on the
installation (sedimentation or flotation installation) the flocculates
sediments or they buoying upwards. In the broadest sense this procedure
is called demulsification or emulsion breakting.
The quicker causation and / or reinforcing of flocculation is possible
by addition of suitable flocculation agents and / or flocculation
additives. For this purpose there are al lot of products with nearly
endless possibilities of their combination.
In some applications the oil separation is desired without anorganic flocculation agents.
For that cases there are also a range of demulgators.
The optimal product (mostly combinations) and the optimal dosages are
only definable by experiments. However, experience values and a systematic
procedure can definitely reduce the number of required experiments / tests
/ analytical characterisations.
We offer exactly this support. With methodic demulsification
experiments it is possible to optimize the kind of reverse emulsion breakers,
flocculation agents, flocculation additives or their combinaion and concentration.
For a recommendation of product and dosage it takes us an operating
expense of about 0.5 to 1 man-month.
